Dear Future Me

A poem by Abby Odelson, Writer

Dear Future Me,

I’m scared.

I’m all alone.

Dear Future Me,

What if no one likes me?

I’m the awkward new kid.

Dear Future Me,

I’m standing by myself.

I want to go home.

Dear Future Me,

I’m sitting all alone.

I need to get out of here.

Dear Future Me,

I’m at home now.

I don't want to be here anymore.

Dear Future Me,

I’m never alone here.

But I’m always lonely.

Dear Future Me,

I think there’s hope.

Hope in the form of a fiery new friend.

Dear Future Me,

I think I’m going to be okay.

I’m not completely alone anymore.

Dear Future Me,

Don’t give up hope.

Because she’s the best thing that ever happened to you.
